HVR Energy, a Spanish company that develops and operates distributed hydrogen generation solutions for mobility, has successfully validated its ACTIVA hydrogen refuelling station in France. The pilot was carried out in Miramas as part of a European project coordinated and co-financed byEIT Urban Mobility,, with the participation of BMW, which used the BMW iX5 Hydrogen from its current pilot fleet for testing under real-world conditions. EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.

ACTIVA is a compact, modular and highly efficient hydrogen refuelling station capable of dispensing hydrogen at 350 and 700 bar. It occupies just 20 m² and requires only 15 kW of electrical power. Designed for integration into existing service stations without the need for major construction work and with minimal on-site compression, it can reduce capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) by more than 75% compared with conventional hydrogen refuelling stations.

This technology represents a strategic step forward aligned with the European Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), positioning HVR Energy as a key player in the development of efficient, flexible and scalable hydrogen infrastructure across Europe.

The success of the pilot project in France has generated significant interest within the local ecosystem. HVR Energy is therefore continuing with the issuance of a €5 million bond through Enerfip, the French crowdfunding platform specialising in renewable energy.

Two tranches have already been completed:
– €1.5 million
– €1 million

A third tranche of between €1 million and €1.5 million will open shortly. It will be available to private and professional investors in France who wish to support the decarbonisation of transport through a project that has been directly validated in their country.
